The long wait for The Amazing Spider-Man is finally over as it was already released in stores this week. The video game that was developed by Beenox is available for the 3DS, Wii, DS, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms. As expected, the video game offers a lot of costumes that gamers can unlock by exploring Manhattan. In order for you to know more about these suits, here is a preview of some the costumes in the video game.
Negative Zone Suit. Once Spider-Man has entered the Negative Zone, his costume is transformed into the black-and-silver version. Merging with the shadows which makes him partially invisible is the advantage of this suit.
Big Time Suit. This neon-green suit was introduced by Humbertos Ramos and Dan Slott for Spider-Man during the Big overarching arc Big Time.
Black Costume from Spider-Man 3. This costume was seen in Spider-Man 3, the film of Sam Raimi where the Black Symbiote had attached to the costume of Peter which gives it the sleek black design.
Vigilante Suit. Before Peter dons the Spider-Man suit in the flick, he wanders Manhattan using the Vigilante costume. This is exclusive for PS3 platform.
Belt-less Outfit. In The Amazing Spider-Man movie of Marc Webb, Peter Parker wears a belt-less Spider-Man suit that gives him a long slender look. As the video game happens after the movie events, Beenox has provided Spider-Man to maintain the film’s realistic theme.
The Spider-Morphosis. In The Amazing Spider-Man #437, the webslinger tries rescuing Synch from Plantman, but he was sprayed with mutagenic flowers right in the face. Due to that incident, Spider-Man became a humanoid crawler, costumed shredded, hands became claws, face turned into that of a spider, with large fangs and eight small eyes and other humiliating and gross changes in his body.
The Scarlet Spider (Kaine). When Kaine, Peter’s clone comes back after the Grim Hunt storyline, he wears the awesome black and red Scarlet Spider costume.
The Future Foundation Outfit (Inverted). Spider-Man had joined the Future Foundation of Richard Reed after the apparent death of Johnny Storm. The team has changed their suits into the sleek white and black costume from the former blue uniform. Once they are on stealth missions, the team inverts their costumes and Spider-Man has his own version that you need to unlock in the video game.
A lot of gamers are very excited about the video game and it is not just about the costumes. In The Amazing Spider-Man movie, you will see Spider-Man in a realistic world, thanks to director Marc Webb and writer James Vanderbilt. In the movie, you will see that the transformation of Dr. Curt Connors into the mutant Lizard and Peter’s power origin are linked with OSCORP. This served as the springboard for Beenox, developer of the game to expand for the video game version of the movie. They employed the idea and used them to the foes of Spider-Man in the comic books such as Rhino, Scorpion and Iguana. With all the costumes and the movie itself, you will know that the video game version of the film is an amazing one.
