Many people know that the PS Vita is not doing well, but Sony is not doing something to prevent this hardware from being killed. Things are not doing well for the PS Vita, so here are the insights of some editors of Gamers-Association on how Sony can save their wonderful hardware.
When asked about the main thing that keeps people from purchasing the PS Vita, Andrew Moreno said that Vita contains nothing new and it doesn’t bring anything that was not already in the games market. He said that there was no available big market for the PSP and same thing will happen to the PS Vita. Moreno suggests that Sony should bring in new and unique features that are not yet available in the games market, as people tend to play those games using their smart phones than using handheld devices such as the Vita. Moreno added that Sony should add social networking on the Vita to make it functional and integrated.
Luke Frazier, another editor from Gamers-Association also provided his opinion about the state of the Vita. Frazier mentioned that the answer to the problem of Sony is simple games, but the company has wasted two years from the release process. He hopes that the PS Vita will be fixed by Sony in the near future and be provided with spectacular titles to see the light for the PS Vita.
The sentiments of Editor Jay Curtis are the same with Moreno and Frazier about the lack of good quality games on the Vita. Curtis admitted that they were elated when Sony announced that it will release Vita, thinking that the hardware will offer new possibilities and that the system will pave the way for a new generation of games. He imparts that the Vita contains some good video games but nothing of them can justify the expensiveness of the PS Vita. He suggests that Sony should include some exclusive video games in order for people to appreciate the Vita.
Moreno believes that Sony should drop the price of the PS Vita despite the risks, as people are scared to buy the handheld due to its expensiveness. Frazier has the same thinking with Moreno about the price. He suggests that Sony should consider dropping the price just like the 3DS as it will be sought after by gamers in the stores’ shelves and that Sony should look for other opportunities on how to improve the PS Vita.
Jay Curtis thinks that PS Vita need not have to drop its price. He believes that the 250 dollars is fine for the system and technology that the Vita has to offer. But he suggests that it needs to have a memory card with 16GB capacity.
Though the Vita is off to a very rough start, but it is no late to turn the tide. Sony has everything they will need in order to save their hardware and all they have to do is to use them. If they don’t do so, they will lose this incredible hardware.
