Info on gamefaqs & vc.nintendolife (both dot com sites) indicate it as the ‘chip version.
Prior to that, others speculated it was the ‘chip due to the pricing of 600 points (standard for ‘chip games) vs. 800 (standard for CD). So, chip it is. 🙂
