Some teaser images were released this week from the upcoming launch of Rockstar’s GTA V. The images revealed that places and vehicles are still included in the title, but there is no news regarding the actual gameplay leaving lots of gamers on a dreamy state.
Ever since the launching of GTA IV, scenes from sandbox games have dramatically changed and every game has offered new ideas where each has their own failures and success. Here are some features in sandbox games that should be borrowed by GTA V.
Vehicle Hijacking from Saints Row the Third
Majority of time in the GTA involves driving and getting a car is not that elegant and fast. Whether you are waltzing towards a car, only to see Niko stand motionless or thrown into thin air due to the fact that the car he is about to hijack is in fact still moving. It is indeed very frustrating and very awkward. An amazing about Saint Row hijacking is that a single tap on the controller launches you into the air and there you are crashing through the windshield of your target vehicle. This would not fit in the world that Rockstar want to create, but it is a sound idea and quick getaway is welcome into the series.
Fist Combat from Sleeping Dogs
Maybe you are one of those gamers who want to have a fist fight on the GTA series with a gun on the other. It is a known fact that close quarter combat in the series is terrible, sluggish and slow. This makes Niko looks like an amateur and not an expert in martial arts. Sleeping Dogs have found a way to focus on unarmed fights in an enjoyable and interesting way. Unarmed combat in video games will surely be much fun and you will surely enjoy it than using a gun.
Deadeye from Red Dead Redemption
The combat in Red Dear redemption is very similar to the fourth installment of the GTS series, but it is a little tightened up and changed your feel on the weapons. This is possible through the use of the amazing deadeye system which allows you to slow the time for you to have a chance to deal with troublesome foes easily.
Disguise from Assassins Creed and the Hitman Series
Getting away from the police is very common in the GTA series, and it involves either scrambling to locate a safe house or driving fast. But why you have to drive away from them if you can actually hide yourself by disguising without provoking the cops. The fifth installment of the series should borrow the disguise element from the Assassin’s Creed and the Hitman series for Niko to have the time to relax while getting away from the police. It seems to be a bit of a touch to the GTA V, but this will open new possibilities.
These things from other games are simple but they will surely elevate the gaming experience in playing GTA V to the next level.
