As far as EA’s strategy goes, I get it. But, it doesn’t matter how much sense you can make out of it. What matters is how it has effected the gaming industry all together. Another thing you have to look at is the reason why they were able to do it and how they were able to do it for so long; Because we as gamers or consumers allowed it. Sim Standard and community spoke until they listened, but the difference they made didn’t change anything if you look at it. EA just strung us along, even now!

keith9842 Think about how much further we could be with Football games alone if EA wouldn’t have put a freeze on competition. If you have trouble doing that, then try to think how far we had come before all of this. You have to admit 7 years, that’s a long time not to have got things right in the first 2 years, more less 7. All I’m saying is don’t buy Madden, write your letter send it off, and do what ever it takes to make the point gamers do not want exclusive licensing in the gaming industry.

You misunderstand me keith9842. This video doesn’t start, it continues from a previous video. The main point is the NFL License being limited to one development team (so to speak) is and should be unacceptable to all that love sports games. If you notice, its limiting the sports genre. If this continues man, we will soon only have one company making their version of our favorite Sports game. not only that we won’t get to experience potentially new styled or better evolved sports games.

Great Point I wished EA would get that, and stop being so afraid of competition.
