C-Royd teaches the many ways one can gain meter. Left out of the video was the super secret that you can control Sean’s basketball before Round 1 starts if you are on Sean’s stage. (only one Sean can control the ball) This is to setup for the next video which is DED Option Select. Please subscribe. And follow me on Twitter @roydroydroyd
1. all of those things are present in third stike though some are more important or less important than they are in sf4. plinking for example is much more important while block strings while important are less viable due to red parrys and the fact that moves like jabs don`t cancel into each other as well as in sf4.
2. not really although wall bounce and juggle mechanics are very important. every character has a super jump and supers can have multiple stocks etc.
I’m no expert, so if someone wants to jump in and correct me, no biggie.
1. Yes, if what you mean is that damage is reduced if a move is comboed into.
2. Different characters have different health points. I’m assuming that’s what you’re observing.
3. Everyone has a different bonus. I think the reason why you don’t see it outside of Q or people looking to be stylish is because they’re mostly not worth the effort. (And I think the offensive power-ups only apply to the next move)
couple more questions (sorry!)
1. Does 3S have damage scaling like in SSF4? i.e. maximize damage by minimizing amount of hits.
2. How come sometime Akuma’s demon does more damage and sometimes lest? is the damage from the demon different depending on the opponent?
3. Does taunting 3 times really boost up a character’s ability? How come we do not see many top players taunt in tournament play. Is this a myth?
Does third strike have any similar game mechanics/properties with SF4, e.g. is plinking, double tapping, option selects, 1/2 frame links, block strings, frame traps, safe jumps applicable/used or even available at all in 3S?
Does third strike have any game mechanics/features that are not present in other SFs? beside parry of course..
