This was a good review. It presented points of both sides respectfully and it sounds like you actually have an original opinion about the game. I enjoy that you weren’t riding any particular bandwagon.

right, because a videogame is only a toy and what you see it’s not important. or becaus since it was made by westerns it was just supposed to bee good? they stashed a decadent baroque for what you can see in a Buffy vampire slayer episode. and that IS bad.

Mainly because I don’t find those things worthy of criticism. I am with you in that I too prefer the art from previous Castlevanias, but I am not of the opinion that a different art is inferior by virtue that it is different. Lords of Shadow set out to create its own tone, its own art. It succeeded. There’s no need to criticize that.

I have not changed any cards. Number 1, Count Dracula is not a real person. He is a fictional amalgamation of mostly superstition and folklore, and yes, a MINOR historical component. This is not an opinion. It is a fact. And Number 2, you are upset that a series that has ALWAYS created its own Dracula canon continues to create its own canon. Castlevania has ALWAYS just made stuff up! To be upset about that is absurd. Your whole complaint and assertion is silly.
