CGRundertow ROBO RUSH for iPhone Video Game Review

admin November 5, 2012 24

Robo Rush review.Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Robo Rush from Triniti Interactive for the iPhone. Robo Rush is a traditional 2D platformer with very obvious influences. If you put the characters and locales of WALL*E into the levels of Super Mario Bros. with the silhouette graphics of Donkey Kong Country Returns, you’d get Robo Rush. It sounds awesome, and that’s because it is. Robo Rush often uses exact level layouts from Nintendo’s groundbreaking NES classic, not to mention a few familiar items and foes. As pretty as the style is, its real brilliance is in the contrast to the source material. The dark, industrial worlds of Robo Rush are something you’d never see within the borders of the Mushroom Kingdom, and that makes the game even more interesting. This video review features video gameplay footage of Robo Rush for the iPhone and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek. That’s not the point. You implied the reason Derek gave a positive review despite bashing Wii ripoffs was because of the because of his bias. I then brought up the price factor.. For example, there’s a free rpg called Exit Fate which received mostly positive reviews, despite taking a lot from Suikoden II. If the developer had charged retail price then it most likely wouldn’t have received the same reception. Maybe it’s the same situation? That’s all I was saying
