It’s pretty much the same thing thing as Tekken 5 to me. Only with better graphics. The only big difference would be the new Scenario Campaign mode. While the controls for it were difficult to handle, it wasn’t half bad. It definitely had more variety than the Jin Devil Within mode from 5, but I like them both.

Well tbh I’m being unfair to Tekken 5, I really enjoyed the Jin story mode on that game and it was actually quite good when playing as the new characters but something about Tekken 6 just didn’t feel right.

I didn’t really seem to notice much change in the fighting from 4 to 5, aside from making it more fluid, but that’s just me. Although, I can agree with Azazel. I first saw that thing and I’m like “what.” It’s just insane. But then again, True Ogre is pretty crazy too lol. But I still would have preferred a different boss.

Tekken 2, yes I’d agree – that wouldn’t be right. But the fighting, in my opinion, hit it’s peak in playability and fun in Tekken 4 – Jin’s fighting style changed but it was fine and there were no silly characters and boss fights like that huge thing you have to fight in Tekken 6. Jinpachi Mishima may have been a bit big and silly, but he was a typical hard boss, this Azel thing is fucking bullshit and it’s an insult to gamers everywhere that that thing is in a Tekken game 😛

If the characters still had the same movesets as they did in Tekken 2 or something it’d be weird and outdated. They’ve done well in deciding to add new moves to everyone. The story mode is the least important part of any fighting game and the new characters are about as interesting as they could get. They each have a very unique fighting style like Lili or Zafina. If they fought like anyone else, there would be no merit to them. If you don’t like those styles, well that can’t be helped. Oh well.
