What you are talking about is simulation which is almost complete realism. That is what ArmA 2 does. I never said BF did. Also, montages look unrealistic everywhere. Go watch actual BF gameplay and compare it to Ghost Recon FS, sure Ghost Recon FS is designed to be more tactical but Battlefield 3 gives you freedom which is even more realistic. Anyways, i would LOVE for Ghost Recon FS to be like the original but it isn’t.
Regardless, look at “montages” of high scoring BF3 gameplay and tell me that looks more like a real military infantry fight than Ghost Recon FS. Either way, ARMA 2 ACE 2 is both INCREDIBLY fun and very realistic in a rewarding way. In that Version of Arma 2, your character will go deaf using heavy machineguns unless you PUT ON EARPLUGS, that’s the kind of realism we are talking about, and its fun if implemented right.
Well. I barely hip fire and I’m usually firing from long range. I use vehicles to punch through the enemy. I usually play with randoms in my squad but i tend to stick with them to win. You also don’t play like you said you did. You have a higher score per minute than i do which means you don’t spend 20 minutes straight running around the map. You also have higher accuracy than me which means you don’t hip fire too much. On the other hand i have a higher KDR and WLR which means my way works best.
