@glovestrong48: I have both versions. Other than the sound track, they are virtually identical. Most people who say the Sega CD version is inferior (like you) have never played it on a real system. However, the Duo had MANY games like Lords, while the Mega CD, basically had about 20 good games and a bunch of FMV crap.
@spida1a if you had to pick between
(gate of thunder) or (lords of thunder) witch would you pick. because I’m deciding which one to buy thanks.
Ha ha! It’s okay….some people probably just don’t like me. Oh well, can’t please everyone! :)
Call the FBI!!! the 1 dislike is obviously from someone who did this against his will!. Seriously though, excelent review of an excelent game once again. fredom of choice is one of the game’s strong point proving that the designer did this with the gamer in mind, not inflating his ego. Even if the game borrows heavily on Forgotten Worlds it’s still a must play on whatever platform you choose. And thumbs up Chris for calling Gate of Thunder ‘Gate’. 99.97% of people call it ‘Gates’…
That is what I have heard also. I remember when I picked up my Sega CD….I noticed LOT on there. But, I read that it was inferior so, I stuck with my Duo version. Ha ha. 🙂
thanks for typing that for everyone.
