i agree with them about nothing to do, and a empty city, because i remembered getting bored enough to just drive around and role-play :/

All the things he says about this game that are ‘not so good’ or ‘not exciting’ are exactly the same on GTA IV. Honestly, except maybe the massive GTA IV aimbot feauture, which Mafia II doesn’t have. There are not really many shops you can go in to in Liberty City too. They’re both amazing games, don’t get me wrong. But IGN is just afraid of saying anything bad about GTA and they do have the balls to criticise Mafia II, because it’s not that much of a big title. Sorry for bad english.

Mafia 2 had a good atmosphere and the story was nice (and a little short) but that’s about it. The fist fights were an absolute joke, the shootouts were repetitive since you’d always sit behind cover, stick your head out to kill one guy, and get back behind cover. Also, there is absolutely no replay value and chapter 14 had at least 4 bugs that would leave you with no other choice but to restart the entire chapter. A game with gamebreaking bugs like that definitely doesn’t deserve a 9/10.

my only gripe with this game is there is no replay value after the ending
