Since the release of the PlayStation 3 in 2006, the console has been the home of some great and amazing video games. Thanks to Uncharted series, Killzone II and III, Heavy Rain and Metal Gear Solid IV, passionate and diehard fans of the PS3 have great tiles where they can choose from. Due to this PS3 exclusives and amazing third party video games being launched, there are also great titles being overlooked. Here are some of those great video games that are overlooked on the PS3.

Twisted Metal

Twisted Metal is one of those video games that lots of gamers want on PS3, but it is noticeably missing. There are actually two entries of Twisted Metal titles on the PSP, but gamers have to wait until February 2012 to experience the game on PS3.

This video game contains lots of features that make it more fun such as large and open maps, online mode and bloody vehicles for combat. The short, twisted affair of the single-player mode contains live actions and cut scenes that tell the story. But what makes it more exciting is when you have friends to play with offline multiplayer.

MotorStorm: Apocalypse

This video game contains a narrative, combined with the high octane and exciting races. The story is narrated in three varied perspectives where every perspective elevated the difficulty level of the race. There are new vehicles that are introduced to the series which include muscle cars and superbikes. Urban environments are the setting of races in MotorStorm: Apocalypse instead of racing through mountains, canyons or lush jungles.

3D Dot Game Heroes

This game is for those old-school players out there. Silicon Studio is not afraid to admit that Legend of Zelda video game series has great influence on them in creating 3D Dot Game Heroes. From the eight-bit music and graphics and some few references from the game, 3D Dot Game Heroes is an amazing game.

No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise

No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise was launched in the West exclusively for PS3 on the 16th of August 2011. The game is all about Travis Touchdown who wants to become the number one ranked assassin. On his ascent, Travis will have to fight other assassins who are a bunch of crazy blood thirsty outlaws.

Disgaea IV: A Promise Unforgotten

The gameplay mechanics of this video game has a lot to offer to gamers. Aside from the hilarious storyline that you have to play, Disgaea has items that have their own world where you have to travel in order to acquire it to boost items stats.

 

Folklore

Game Republic has released this video game on the 9th day of October 2007, and it is a unique Japanese role-playing game in the action genre. The game is about the story of Ellen and paranormal journalist Keats. The game’s art direction has made the worlds of fairytale stand out. Even today, Folklore remains a great game in the modern standards of gaming.
