Still Gaming, great review. The PS2 version was crap, imo; terrible graphics, frame-rate, and had bugs. But the gamecube version definitely fixes all these problems: it looks gorgeous, runs at a smooth 60 FPS, and has little to no bugs. Still, the other problems linger, but as a whole, I think it was the last solid 3D Sonic game… until Colors came along, of course 😛

well my comment was before colors :), and i love colors, it is an amazing game and i play all the bad sonic games to play it :)

I have the game cube version and I didn’t have much problem with glitches, I don’t know if that is the reason but it could have contributed. I personally found the controls worked pretty well. The absolute best level has to be the egg fleet or maybe the train level. In my opinion this is one of my favorite sonic games.
