Yeah. We brought this point up in the cast. It is so hard to do F2P correctly without alienating new players or players who do not want to give up their money. At the same time, you have to entice players to fork over cash, but not in a jerkish kind of way.
Extremely difficult and then having so much other competition in the gaming space.
I think the game is pretty solid and they are speedily they ironing out bugs and even upgrading the servers tomorrow. The Monetization aspect of the game though I am not sure. It is understandable though: Nailing it so they have a solid revenue while avoiding the “pay to win” stigma is very hard.
Not yet. Jon and the guys have not made the beta available to the press. It is perfectly understandable from their point of view. They are bringing in players to help shake loose most of the bugs before handing off to gaming outlets.
@TruPCGaming: Thanks for the cast, got here from Cardhunters G+ site. Are you guys in the Beta of said game ?
It really is amazing when you think about that. SS2 is considered one of the best games to ever grace a PC, and yet, few people bought it. At the very least, the release of BioShock and now Dishonored put titles like SS2 and Thief into the minds of younger gamers. Thanks for commenting.
