Oh boy we’re clearly not on the same page here…

This is only a review of Twisted Metal. Not every other game. Just Twisted Metal. Don’t know what else to tell you.

Excuse me for coming across as an a-hole but come on. I really don’t know how much clearer I can make it. Why criticize TM for that reason when there have been games around MUCH longer that have pretty much been the same since the 16 bit era but still praised to this day? Again, Street Fighter is a good example. The whole “it does nothing new” is NEVER applied for games like that. Why must it happen to Twisted Metal which, yes, has done SO MUCH MORE than the previous games?

But you also quoted him saying it’s awesome. They hardly complained, that’s why I’m confused. Are you saying it DID do something new or what? What’s the problem here that’s worth right paragraph comments about?

“They really didn’t, uhh.. you know make anything too amazing or new…” “The only other thing that I don’t like about this game is that, as awesome as it is, it doesn’t do anything new. At all.” -I guess I must be imagining the things coming out of the right guy’s mouth. All I’m saying is that out of all games that’s been around since the 16bit era (like I said, Street Fighter and MK), Twisted Metal seems to be the only game being criticized for “doing nothing new.”
