Nowadays, there are so many role-playing games that proliferates the video game industry. There are those which are well-promoted RPGs like the Final Fantasy series, Mass Effect, Skyrim and others. The present generation has grasped these RPGs but unfortunately, there are some of these game types which are overshadowed by these giants and they are nearly forgotten by the gamers. Below are some of the RPGs which are going to be released this 2012.
Unchained Blades
This video game was already introduced in Japan but will be released in the United States in the later part of 2012 by EXCEED. The storyline of Unchained Blades focuses on a dragon which was transformed into a human being by a goddess due to his ego in order to teach this dragon a lesson. This video game is a worthy pick where Nobuo Uematsu has created some of its musical scores. Unchained Blades looks good and gamers will actually enjoy playing it.
Of Orcs and Men
This RPG is jointly developed by Spiders and Cyanide Studios for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms. The preview of this video game shows a war torn world where the oppressive threat of the Empire of Men looms against the Goblins and Orcs’s territories. The Goblins are slaughtered and persecuted systematically while those Orcs which survived the battle are captured as well as enslaved.
Gamers will play the character of an Orc soldier from the Bloodjaws legion which is composed of warriors who opposed the Goblins and Orc and the humans as well. Gamers will be tasked in completing a mission of killing the one responsible for the war, the Emperor. This mission has the potential to change the way the war is going and to finally end it.
Mars War Logs
This video game was developed by Spiders for PC, PlayStation3 and Xbox 360. The setting of this ARPG is Mars. Mars war Logs is an action RPG in the third person shooter genre which will take you into a decadent and futuristic universe. This video games features several quests, tactical and dynamic combat, variety of skills, a craft system which is complex. This RPG offers a solid and complete gameplay for gamers.
Heroes of Ruins
Many gamers are more focused on other upcoming video games from Square Enix, but this video game has the potential to become the best RPG to be introduced later in 2012 on 3DS. Although you may find it slightly uncomfortable when it comes to the camera, but this video game looks good in the 3DS. Many players do hope that this will be a good game for them to enjoy.
Dust An Elysian Tale
This gameplay of this video game was set in Falana which is a mysterious and beautiful world. Dust An Elysian Tale will chronicle the journey of Dust who is the protagonist of the game, where he will liberate a village and eventually rediscover the past of his life. Dust will be aided by Ahrah, his sword and Fidget, his unreserved sidekick. Gamers will experience exploration, platforming and the fighting system which rewards skilled players.
