Does the pc engine version of this game have an english option? I just got a duo r and this is one of the games that was included in the lot. I really want to play this but I’m not sure if I should be looking for the english version post haste.

I really do hope you have Chrono Trigger up on your list, THAT is in my opinion the greatest soundtrack in any game ever.

I still play Ys to this day. It looks surprisingly good on a 37″ LCD. The best part, which I always show my friends, is the cutscene between book 1 and 2. I don’t care if you get it on Famicom, PC, or Wii, they just can’t compare to the TGCD version in that respect. The PC port, which I believe is used for several other platforms, almost skips the transition entirely. So if you want to see this game at its best, you actually have to go BACK to an old system.

I fell in love with this game and stayed up late many a night playing it back in the day. They need to re-release this on the 360 or PS3 its a classic and was ahead of its time in many aspects.

I totally agree and was just saying this today in a gamer group I’m in. Loved this game on TurboGrafx 16
